Welcome to Singapore!

Before travelling to Singapore, ensure you have arranged the Airport Pick-up Service with Aventis for a smooth transfer to your accommodation.

  • All international students are eligible for this service.
  • Once we receive your request, an email confirmation will be sent within 7 working days.
  • On arrival, a driver from an outsourced transport company, together with an Aventis student, will meet you at the airport and assist you to your pre-arranged accommodation.

Immigration Clearance

Upon entering Singapore, you must clear immigration at the point of entry. You will need:

  • A passport valid for at least six months
  • Sufficient funds for the duration of your stay
  • A submitted SG Arrival Card
  • A valid Singapore visa (check Visa Requirements)
  • A confirmed onward or return ticket (where applicable)
  • Evidence of entry to your next destination (if required)
  • A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, if applicable
  • Proof of prior entry approval (e.g., SafeTravel Pass, Air Travel Pass, or approval letter)

Customs Clearance

At the customs area, you will encounter the Red and Green Channel system:

  • Green Channel: Proceed if you have no dutiable, controlled, or prohibited goods. ICA officers may still conduct random checks.
  • Red Channel: Declare all dutiable, controlled, or prohibited goods. False or incorrect declarations are offences and may lead to fines or prosecution.

Student Pass Formalities

All students must undergo a medical check-up before receiving a Student Pass. This can be done either in your home country or in Singapore.

  • If the medical check-up is completed abroad, the report must be officially translated into English.
  • This check-up is a Singapore Government requirement.

After your medical check-up, Aventis will arrange a visit to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to collect your Student Pass. Your Student Pass will be valid for the entire duration of your studies.
