Support services, facilities and guidance for new, current and graduating Aventis students.

Student services

Student Services in the Academic and Operations Management Department is responsible for providing a range of student support services that meet student needs and support a positive educational experience.

Information about student support services and programmes is communicated to prospective and current students through Aventis communication channels so that students can access up-to-date guidance.

Support for new students

Student Services supports new students as they begin their learning journey. International-student arrangements apply where relevant.

  • Individual and personalised long-distance calls to parents or agents about arrival arrangements for international students
  • Accommodation support services for international students
  • Medical screening arrangements for international students
  • Bank account opening arrangements for international students
  • Student Pass application support for international students, including E-Form 16 guidance
  • Student Orientation Programme

Support for current students

Current students can access practical facilities, academic support and wellbeing services as part of their learning experience.

Accessible learning environment

Classrooms and facilities

Aventis provides classroom and learning facilities to support teaching, group learning and student engagement.

The legacy facilities information identifies B. Baruch, B. Cohen and L. Zicklin classrooms as part of the available teaching spaces.

Study spaces and academic resources

Study areas are available for students to complete assignments and projects. Students are also encouraged to use external library resources and relevant learning materials to support research and reading.

Students may contact their module lecturers by email about academic matters. Lecturers aim to respond within five working days. Additional academic support and lecturer consultations may be arranged through Student Services.

Wellbeing, student life and graduate support

Aventis supports students’ personal, professional and career development through counselling, student-life activities, alumni engagement and career coaching opportunities.

Graduating students may receive support through graduation activities, alumni networking, professional development courses and career-development opportunities.

Orientation and holistic education

A comprehensive orientation introduces students to the School’s academic and administrative matters. Online orientation slides are available for students who are unable to attend in person.

Aventis’ Holistic Education Approach is structured around market-oriented learning, career coaching and career development, and professional development and alumni networking opportunities.

International student support

International students receive additional support before and after arrival in Singapore, alongside the services available to all students.

The legacy guidance states that a new Student’s Pass application generally takes about four weeks after ICA receives a duly completed application, although some applications may take longer. Students should enter Singapore to complete Student’s Pass formalities only after approval and should bring their In-Principle Approval letter and a passport with at least six months’ validity.
