Frequently asked questions
Applicants should normally possess either an Aventis Professional Diploma in AI and Computing, or a relevant polytechnic diploma or equivalent qualification in computing, information technology, data science, or a related discipline. Applicants with relevant professional certifications, industry experience or other equivalent qualifications may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Upon successfully completing all required modules, students will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Computing and Artificial Intelligence – Final-Year Top-Up, conferred by the University of Chichester, UK.
A top-up degree is designed for individuals who already hold a relevant diploma, higher diploma or equivalent qualification. Instead of completing a full three or four-year programme, you complete the final year of a Bachelor's degree, building directly on your existing knowledge and experience.
Both qualifications lead to a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree. A traditional Bachelor's degree typically takes three to four years to complete from the beginning. A Top-Up Bachelor's degree is designed for learners who already hold a relevant diploma or equivalent qualification — instead of starting from scratch, you complete the final year only.
There is no maximum age limit for applying to a Top-Up Bachelor's degree. Applicants of all ages are welcome, provided they meet the entry requirements.
Consider whether the programme is awarded by a recognised university, whether your current qualification meets the entry requirements, the relevance of the curriculum to your career goals, the flexibility of the study schedule if you're working, and the opportunities for further study such as progressing to a Master's degree after graduation.
Aventis offers flexible and affordable instalment payment schemes. Download the brochure or speak with an advisor on WhatsApp for full details.
Application fees for part-time programmes are S$200 (excluding GST).
