The Master of Science in Cyber Security programme aims to equip you with a comprehensive framework of the latest practice and techniques in cyber security systems development and operations. The programme is specifically designed to develop the capabilities and skills of professionals to tackle growing industry needs. Through this course you will be geared up for a professional career in cyber security.
You will gain a practical understanding of issues surrounding the design, analysis and implementation of modern secure IT systems in an industry context. In addition, you will discover how cyber security systems are designed and constructed, and the impact this technology has on organisations.

Designed to accommodate and complement the busy commitments of today’s global managers and professionals, this 10 months part-time MSc programme comprises of 6 modules plus a dissertation which are delivered on a modular basis.
Covers areas such as symmetric and asymmetric encryption, principles of cryptanalysis as well as the application of cryptographic techniques to authentication and identity management.
Introduce you to security operations and assurance of systems, networks, data and user identities, which is an essential aspect of organization and information systems.
Introduce you to network and systems security.Â
Introduced to the concepts, principles and techniques needed for effective project management.
Explore the skills needed to understand, and work in, the complex multi-sourced environment that supports business change.
Prepare to carry out master’s-level applied research in computing, with a focus on cyber security and learn to use appropriate research methodologies and tools to support your research ideas and develop your writing skills.
Have the opportunity to carry out an original piece of research, adding to existing knowledge and demonstrating an ability to select, define and focus on a cyber security topic at an appropriate level.
This is a coursework based program with certain modules having a combination of coursework and examination.
Each module spans over 2 consecutive weekends per month and includes a comprehensive coverage of 34 hours of face-to-face lectures that is complemented with online course support, additional readings and resource materials.

Candidates are expected to contribute to the class learning experience and participation. You will be assessed based on experience, aptitude, potential and ability to add value to the interactions between peers and faculty.
A Diploma in any course with a significant level of computing content (minimum of 8 years relevant work experience).
A business or an engineering degree with a significant level of computing content (minimum of 3 years relevant work experience).
Mature Candidates (at least 30 years old) with minimum 8 years of working experience.
